3. Ephesians-2:13-16 Christ has broken down The Middle Wall III.

Ephesians 2: 13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.” (NKJV)

Walls Separate Us From Apart. Koinonia is Greek for True Intimate Fellowship with The Father and His Son Jesus Christ 1st John 1:3

These verses don’t necessarily speak directly to the issues we have in the church today, because Paul knew nothing about any 21st century church. You see the Church at Ephesus was an example of unity within The Body of Christ. The Apostle Paul was actually extremely pleased with them because there was no heresy among them as of yet. The doctrine was sound and they knew who they were in Christ Jesus. Paul taught them well. He spent about three years with them and formed a strong bond of love. Take a moment to read Acts 20: 17-38. It’s a rather bittersweet story of how much he loved, and how these gentiles loved him. He was with them through his sufferings and shed many tears with these wonderful people. He made it his life’s mission to make sure that they received the best God had to offer through his ministry. In Acts 20: 19 He said that he was “serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews”;

The tears were because his own kinsmen in the flesh plotted to kill him, much like the sufferings of Christ(Phi. 3:10). However, he was well received and comforted by this gentile community. He served them with his whole heart and in “all humility”, and he would not shy away from teaching them the entire counsel of God. The Body of Christ today is in dire need of men and women who are willing to stand up and teach only the entire counsel of God instead of this brand named Gospel. Before The Apostle’s departure, he gave them this warning to the Elders:

Acts 20: 28 “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. 31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.”

The Book of Revelation tells us what ultimately happen in that church. We should take an honest look at where The Church is as a whole today, and tell me that I’m just Whistling Dixie:

Revelation 2: 1 “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. 6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.” (NKJV) Oh, we gonna continue…
