A time is coming in the near future when, “He (God) will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – (Revelations 21:4) But in the meantime, before Christ comes, God is counting on you and me to be His hands and His feet; to visit the sick and the imprisoned, to feed the hungry and clothe the naked, to wipe away the tears from people’s eyes, to heal the hurting and the brokenhearted and to uplifting the fallen. The Bible commands us to, “Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.” (Romans 12:15) You might be going through a rough time. You might be in great need of prayer and encouragement. But today God wants you to shift the focus of your attention from you to someone else. You don’t have to look very far. God has already placed in your life, someone who needs your words of encouragement, practical help or intercessory prayer. Often our greatest encouragement comes from encouraging others.
